#Day 182: A Sunday Well Spent with our Indonesian Friends (Sunday,October 18,2015)

It took a while before I finally worked in this entry but the  experience from this particular event way back 2 weeks ago is still vivid.

We were invited to grace an event at the Indonesian Embassy and in a way talk about our curriculum. I was both excited and a little apprehensive because of the typhoon at hand but I am happy that I didn’t lose the chance to meet wonderful friends from Indonesia.

I realized that Filipinos and Indonesians really have a lot in common. We like music and we enjoy singing, we honor people who made difference in our lives and we serve good food, but more than anything else, we value education.

As we gear towards ASEAN integration we will meet a lot of Indonesians who might be working in here too. Let us not see them as  competitors but rather welcome them with openness.
